The Giga-tronics COMPASS coherent multi-channel RF capture and playback solution is specifically designed for military electronics applications. The fully integrated system has the RF and digital performance needed for use in the design, verification and operational validation of modern RADAR and Electronic Warfare systems.
The solution is based upon the Company’s Advanced Signal Generation and Analysis (ASGA) platform and state-of-the-art ADC and DAC cards integrated within a high-performance PC workstation. The ASGA platform delivers up to 4 coherent RF channels covering 500 MHz to 18.0 GHz of frequency range and supports any combination of up conversion from IF and down conversion to IF. The digital cards operate at 4.8 GS/s and support the capture or playback of the ASGA’s IF signals with up to 1.0 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth while the workstation can store up to 64 TB of data representing more than 2 hours of record or playback time at full bandwidth.
The modular architecture offers the ability to configure the system either for capture only, playback only or both functions combined all within a single integrated solution. Rack mounted solutions for a lab environment and rugged transit case options are available for field or range use.
