Product Obsolescence Notice – And Last Time Buy

Dear Valued Customer,

This letter is to notify you that, due to critical component shortages, Giga-tronics will immediately discontinue manufacturing the 2500B series Microwave Signal Generators (models 2502B, 2508B, 2520B, 2526B, 2540B and 2550B).  To minimize any disruption this may cause, Giga-tronics is introducing three replacement models as follows:

1. GT-2508B-100. This model replaces the GT-2502B and the GT-2508B.  The GT-2508B-100 bundles options 17A, 18, and 26A as standard.  Options 22, 29, 32 and 46 may be ordered on this new model.  All other options are no longer available.
2. GT-2520B-100. This model replaces the GT-2520B.  The GT-2520B-100 bundles options 17A, 18, 23 and 26A as standard.  Options 22, 29, 32 and 46 may be ordered on this new model.  All other options are no longer available.
3. GT-2540B-100. This model replaces the GT-2526B and the GT-2540B.  The GT-2540B-100 bundles options 17A, 18 and 26C as standard.  Options 22, 29, 32 and 46 may be ordered on this new model.  All other options are no longer available.

For a period of four (4) months from the date of this notice, Giga-tronics will accept orders for these new models and their associated options.  Please assess your product needs including any requirements for spares and place a Last-Time-Buy order no later than four (4) months from the date of this notice.  Orders for these replacement products will not be accepted after this date.

Customers with special configurations or who require purchasing from the Government Services Administration (GSA) should contact their sales representative for assistance.

Terms and conditions of this Last-Time-Buy are as follows:

• All purchase orders are non-cancelable and non-refundable and are subject to acceptance by Giga-tronics.
• All models are sold with a one-year warranty.
• Date for last order acceptance is September 30, 2022.
• Customers must accept delivery by December 23, 2022.   All orders must be scheduled with ship dates no later than this date.
• Giga-tronics will provide calibration and repair services for five (5) years from the date of delivery and will extend its best efforts thereafter.  Formal support will end on June 23, 2027.

Every 2500B Microwave Signal Generator comes with Spanawave/Giga-tronics Automation Xpress, a PC based software package designed for enhanced user interface and automatic test systems. The Automation Xpress CD includes a full-featured plug-and-play driver and soft front panels to provide the ATE system integrator with everything needed to get up and running fast. A comprehensive LIST mode, Command-Line interpreter with script and loop capability, and GPIB traffic monitoring are just a few of the many features a test system programmer will appreciate when developing and debugging Test Program Sets.
